Kids love ketchup. I don't

Kids love ketchup. I don't eat much of it (I prefer a good BBQ sauce), but I'll buy some of this...

The joys of webcams. In the midst of moving my 6 foot halogen light to give better light for the room and the cam (which was fairly comical), my webcam snapped a picture:

Rumor has it that Jessy will be setting HER webcam back up on her page...

Here's something to think about:

Here's something to think about: If God has known since before He created the universe who would be going to heaven with Him, why did he create every else, knowing they'd go to hell? Can anyone give me a rational answer to that? Email me.

You'll notice the camera is back up. I'm using my old (4 years old) color quickcam...boy, has the technology improved. Past that, you'll notice my cam has some focus problems. It's old. It looks artsy. I'll be updating with the good cam soon, maybe have both. We'll see.

When my dad passed away,

When my dad passed away, my mom basically lived here for 3 weeks on her own, until my g/f and I moved in with her. Living here alone, my mom's electricity bill was about 1/3 of what it usually is. Now that we've moved in, and I've set up my computer workcenter, that bill's gonna skyrocket. Not realizing what I had, I set it all up:

3 desktop computers with monitors
1 laptop
1 printer (1 more in storage)
1 hub
1 router
1 cable modem
1 scanner
2 digital cameras
1 zip drive

It looks beautiful, but I'm likely not helping with the so-called "energy crisis" in California (I'll talk later about both the "energy crisis" and my disgust with common usage of the term "so-called").

I have no idea why this site is linking to me, but the text next to my link says "This site seems to be the "newspaper" of a American, totally without sense." Interesting...

This story at Wired is

This story at Wired is very disturbing to me. I enjoy porn, and the first amendment is very important to me. But suggestive poses of little girls, while not illegal, are pretty sick. But I'm torn as to whether or not they should be illegal. It sets a bad precedent for art and other pornography cases, but I don't want any more children getting exploited. The whole thing just needs to be VERY closely watched.

It seems I'm back. I

It seems I'm back. I got my new desk today, built it, set up my computer, and will be setting up the rest tomorrow. I also will be setting up the network (currently I'm running without the hub/router setup), bringing the camera back online, and soon investing in new video card, a firewire card, and some ram (to make my digital editing station come to life). I also need to bring the scanner up and running, so I can scan my Wheel of Fortune check I got this week in the mail (finally). Busy busy busy...but it's good to be back online.

Yes, I haven't posted much. No, I haven't disappeared. I recently moved, and I'm set up on a small writing desk in the middle of a room, with wires going everywhere. Hopefully life will get back to near-normal soon. I'll have new fun links before too long =) As per Jessy's request, find me a job, so I can get rid of the damn popup. Thanks =)

If I can find 5 people (or companies) to hire me for 1 hour a day at my consulting rate, I can live very comfortably. Doesn't seem THAT difficult...

KRON in San Francisco (which broadcasts all over the greater Bay Area) has signed up for a new version of Pyramid, as in The $25,000 Pyramid, formerly hosted by Dick Clark, the new version to be hosted by Donny Osmond. It's likely my favorite game show of all time, and as soon as some more stations pick it up, it'll start airing. I can't wait.
